Build your base by mining resources and spending resources on sructures, upgrades, or recruits. Build before night falls and hostile PMCs converge on your base.
Defend your remote mining operations from agitators. Hostile PMCs will use the cover of night to seige your base - defend your base, or risk mission failure.
Conquer hostile mining outposts to weaken other PMCs, then strike them down for good. Control all mining outposts and destroy all hostile PMCs to win.
Helo was born from our love of co-op helicopter combat. As our first commercial project together, we followed the Risk of Rain approach: build a tight 2D experience first, with plans to eventually expand into 3D. We merged this aerial action with Kingdom-style base building, but instead of playing a passive monarch, you provide devastating air support. Inspired by MGSV, we set our game in Central Africa to reflect the gritty reality of PMC-dominated resource conflicts.
Helo is currently in a playable state with about 5 minutes of gameplay.
We are in the process of refining gameplay elements like pacing, AI behavior, and asset implementation.
Playtesters are vitally important in this stage of development - send us an email if you would like to playtest.

The team consists of two developers, Julian and Josh. We met over a decade ago via Dust 514 -
where we first got a taste for co-op helicopter-based gameplay.
We live on opposite sides of the US, but have remained good friends.
We began developing games together for fun around 2024, and have many proof of concept games,
but we are very excited and motivated to release our first commercial game together.
